A BA (Hons.) degree in Financial Economics has been introduced by the Department of Economics of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Dean of faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has submitted the report about this degree programme to the Quality Assurance Council of University Grants Commission(UGC) on 30th January and 12th May last year.

Accordingly, the approval for this has been granted on the 1060th gathering of University Grants Commission(U.G.C) which was held on 5th of August.

ஸ்ரீ ஜயவர்தனபுரா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் மனிதநேயம் மற்றும் சமூக அறிவியல் பீடத்தின் பொருளாதாரத் துறையால் நிதி பொருளாதாரத்தில் B.A (Hons.) பட்டம் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மனிதநேயம் மற்றும் சமூக அறிவியல் பீடம் மூலம் இப் பட்டப்படிப்பு குறித்த அறிக்கையை கடந்த ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 30 மற்றும் மே 12 ஆம் தேதிகளில் பல்கலைக்கழக மானியக் குழு தர உத்தரவாத கவுன்சிலில் (யுஜிசி) சமர்ப்பித்தது.

அதன்படி, ஆகஸ்ட் 5 ஆம் தேதி நடைபெற்ற பல்கலைக்கழக மானியக் கமிஷனின் (U.G.C) 1060 வது கூட்டத்தில் இதற்கான ஒப்புதல் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
