Gas companies have requested the government permission to increase domestic gas cylinder prices claiming rising prices in world market.
Laugfs Gas has requested to increase the price by Rs 540 per cylinder while Litro Gas proposed to increase their cylinder by Rs 580.
Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardane has appointed a five member committe to look into companies’ request for price hike.
